music is life, music is breath, music is us

Jimi Hendrix-“Little Wing”

Hendrix’s contribution to music is immeasurable. It is impossible to box him into a corner as there were so many dimensions to his songs. “Little Wing” is my favorite song of his, well, at least one of them. There is a certain transcendental nature to this song, and I always feel at peace when I hear it. Maybe I feel such an affection for Hendrix because he, like me, was part Cherokee, but I know that it really boils down to his incredible music. He was gone far too soon.

  4. This too is my favorite Hendrix song. He manages his sound to to be so smooth yet sharp at the same time. And it balances so nicely with his sweet, raspy, dream-like voice. Good choice!
