music is life, music is breath, music is us

Bruce Springsteen-“Jungleland (Live in New York City)”

Springsteen is a storyteller, an artist, a visionary. His music brought to light the struggles of the everyday worker in the steel mill, the single mother trying to keep everything together, and the AIDS patient. This is one of my all time favorite songs of his, and it features a famous solo by the late Clarence Clemons. We in the music world miss you every day big guy.

  1. Absolutely nothing to do with Bruce Springsteen, but I was wondering if you might know Andrew Pettit? He also studies/studied ethnomusicology at UCLA.

  2. Hmmmm, the name doesn’t ring a bell. Is he a graduate or undergraduate?

  3. Good choice for the video, and I still can’t believe Clarence Clemons is gone.
